The Island ENT Difference

Our experienced Healthcare providers specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies. These include asthma, allergic rhinitis or hayfever and food allergies. Initial patient visit includes a thorough history and physical exam. Skin testing, spirometry, laboratory work, X-rays and other testing may be ordered if indicated.

Unlike an exclusive allergy practice, Island ENT diagnoses allergies, treats them, as well as all the other conditions that stem from having allergies, including but not limited to nasal congestion and/or obstruction, snoring, post-nasal drip, acute and chronic sinus infections, allergy-related headaches, eustachian tube dysfunction, otitis media, laryngitis, bronchitis and pneumonia.

What Are the Symptoms of Allergic Rhinitis and Sinusitis?

You have acute sinusitis when you have had cloudy or colored drainage from your nose for up to four weeks, plus one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Stuffy, congested, or blocked nose
  • Pain in the face, head, or around the eyes
  • Pressure or fullness in the face, head, or around the eyes
  • Long-lasting cold like symptoms
  • Symptoms that do not improve within 10 days of getting sick, or initially get better then worsen again

I was in [extreme] pain in my left ear on Friday. The receptionist said she would call me back to see if she had an opening. She called me back in less then 30 minutes and by the way was the sweetest woman, told me to come at 10:30! Dr. Carabin knows her stuff she got me fixed up in no time and I am looking forward to my follow up appointment! This place is great as is the staff, physicians assistants and doctor. Not sure what the other two reviewers are talking about Island ENT is great.
Dr. Carabin is a Dr. that goes above and beyond for the welfare of her patients! I have been seeing her for about 5 years now and if there is something that she is not equipped to handle she will find someone for you that can. Then she will double check to make sure you are taken care of. Her staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I should have posted this year's ago. Dr. Carabin and her staff saved my live. I don't say this lightly as a Disabled Vet. I stopped breathing 187 times during the test. I have only been without it 2 times. That was because I was traveling and forgot the power cord.
